Proud Aunt Moment: Early Signs of a Foodie
I had a really proud aunt moment when my nephew showed me his first sign of being a foodie (or maybe it’s wishful thinking).
He’s obsessed with bread, goldfish, and everything else I cringe at him eating, but I’m not worried. I used to be a picky eater and look at me now. I’ll pretty much eat anything and everything except for large fried crickets in Thailand.
While he was eating bread & goldfish, he combined the two!
He showed me how he did it by making a hole in the bread and adding a goldfish.
He described the texture as being soft on the outside and crunchy and cheesy in the inside.
And for some reason, I got super excited and proud of this moment so I had to share it.
Ilius, I’m proud of you for discovering the mashing of two unrelated foods together, describing its texture as crunchy and soft at the same time, and encouraging me and Uncle Mike to try it too. I hope your food adventures go much, much further than this. I love you!
