Expat Life, Day 55: Destination Photos in Amsterdam
Today was my first day taking destination photos in Amsterdam for a family from Canada. We stuck to the Jordaan neighborhood ’cause it’s obviously breathtakingly beautiful especially in all of its fall glory.
I had so much fun taking pictures of the kids, ages 5 and 7, & discovering my new home through the eyes of a child. We started out at Bloemgracht 87 where took this photo at the canal nearby. There’s a whole bunch of neat little landmarks nestled into a 500 meter radius such as St. Andrew’s Courtyard, the Three Hendricks House, Claes Claeszoon Hofje, and of course, Westerkerk. But of course, as with kids, nothing goes as planned so we ended up at a fun little park by Noordemarkt where I got to capture kids being kids.
Once I get permission from the parents to post the photos online for promotional purposes, I definitely will do so as I loved the experience and the time I spent with this family from Canada.
If you want destination, engagement, or family photos in Amsterdam, please feel free to reach out to me! Photos start at a low 50 euros as I build my portfolio, which includes an hour+ of my time & all photos edited.
