affiliates, sponsorships, and a little bit more
This policy is valid from September 01, 2015.
Hi, you’re here because you want to be here! Let’s hope that’s the case…
However, if you’re up to finding out some good spots to eat around the world, off the beaten path activities, and practical travel advice, then feel free to hang around the blog!
I reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any given time on this website so in case you’re feeling antsy about updates, then check back here whenever you’re curious.
Although I work quite hard to give you the most up-to-date information by eating, traveling, and writing, I make no representations or warranties of any kind (expressed or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of any information, products, services or related graphics contained on Tales From a Fork for any purpose.
Of course I’d love to give you all the info you need, but when it comes to current prices, addresses, opening hours, travel information, website addresses, or phone numbers, it’s always a great idea to double check. No one wants to get lost for an hour only to find out that a restaurant I went to a few months ago is taking a nice break over the holidays.
I hope to provide you with accurate information at the time of publishing, but some information will understandably be less accurate as time passes. If this happens, email, Facebook, Tweet, Instagram, or even direct message me on Pinterest letting me know what’s up. I’ll do my best to update it as soon as I can!
I like cookies, but we’re not talking about the chocolate chip kind. We’re talking about the cookies on your computer!
We are not responsible for republished content from this blog on other blogs or websites without our permission. Let’s hope the ‘without our permission’ part doesn’t happen often.
Unless clearly noted otherwise, I (Sarah Kim from Tales From a Fork) am the legal copyright holder of all (written, multimedia and graphic) material on this website, which may not be used, reprinted, (partially) modified or published without my written consent.
After you receive written consent, a link to Tales From a Fork must appear in all copies of any artwork or content, including articles, press releases, etc.
All the information provided on this blog is for general information and entertainment purposes only and is the expressed opinion of myself, Sarah (‘Tales From a Fork‘) and not others. This includes (but is not limited to) my membership organizations and/or employers.
I am not providing any medical, legal, or professional advice. You are taking all the provided information at your own risk.
For example, if you happen to go to a restaurant and order and eat the same amount of food I did, but are now keeling over in pain from too much food, I cannot be held responsible for that.
Under no circumstances will I be liable for any loss or damage (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss or damage) or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of this website.
I cannot be held responsible for any offense taken due to translation, interpretation or mistakes in grammar and/or punctuation of my website’s content.
Although I intend to keep Tales From a Fork running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, access to the site may be temporarily or permanently suspended and without notice at my own discretion, due to possible updates or technical issues beyond my control. I will not be liable if for any reason the website is unavailable at any time or for any period of time. I will try to get the website back online as soon as possible.
All photography on this site are my own or Michael Chetrit’s photos unless specifically stated in the caption or the alt text if the image is used as a feature image. You may not use, copy, or repurpose any of my photos without express permission as stated under the Copyright section.
Any photography that isn’t my own has been acquired through express permission from the company or brand, or has been used in accordance with a company’s Terms of Service such as Yelp‘s.
Any personal and/or contact information provided to Tales From a Fork will be kept private. You will not be spammed in any way, and I will not sell or disclose your information to any other companies ’cause only weird people do that.
I am not responsible for the privacy practices of any of my advertisers or blog commenters.
Also, I do not take responsibility for opinions and views of blog commenters. To each his/her own, and hopefully his/her own doesn’t offend you!
I also reserve the rights to edit or delete any comments submitted to Tales From a Fork without notice, which include but are not limited to: comments deemed to be spam or questionable spam, comments including profanity, comments containing language or concepts that could be deemed offensive, or comments that attack a group or person individually.
Affiliates & Sponsorship
I am not responsible for the actions of my advertisers or sponsors. If you purchase a product or service based upon a link from my website, you must take action with that company to resolve any issues, not Tales From a Fork. I really hope that nothing would ever happen, but if it does, all I can do is say I’m sorry!
Any product, claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. What’s blue to me might look blue-green to you!
To help the website expand, to cover costs of running the site, I will use advertising and affiliate links on my site when applicable aka no spamming and bombarding you with irrelevant offers. I will do my absolute best to only provide you with information about (travel) products that I truly believe in, and only accept sponsorships and partnerships that would both align with my brand and benefit my readers (aka me, family, friends, and you).
I will gladly say NO to any company regardless of how much they want to pay me if it’s not a product or service I would use myself.
I’ll always make sure to let you know when you’re reading a sponsored or partnered post ’cause your trust in me is VERY important!
Here are specific affiliate programs that require a little extra wording on my blog. These may not include all the affiliate programs I am a part of, but you’ll always have a very clear idea of who I am working with when so don’t worry! I have nothing to hide… except maybe my food belly.
Specific Affiliate Policies:
- Google’s use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
Tales from a Fork is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.
Tales From a Fork is part of Activate by Bloglovin’ although Sarah has no idea how it works.
Letters to the Editor (aka me!)
Any letters, e-mails, blog comments, responses on Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter, or questions written directly to me may be used to share with my blogging audience unless specifically requested otherwise. (Part of) these letters or emails, questions or any other feedback may be used in newsletters, blog posts, columns or up-and-coming books.
Now that you’ve read all that, time to push it aside, head to the blog, and have fun!
